Maritime hero will appear once loaded.About
I build maritime software, from vessel automation tools written mid-voyage on chemical tankers to production systems running in the industry today. Backend, frontend, data pipelines, and applied AI, with six years of domain experience spanning sea practice, compliance verification at DNV, and regulatory software development at SEACOTEC.
Building end-to-end software at SEACOTEC (03.2025-Present), from robust APIs and async services to production frontend delivery.
Built data and ML support workflows at DNV (06.2023-03.2025) and TheLion.AI (11.2024-11.2025), focusing on quality, repeatability, and real-world deployment constraints.
Six years across sea practice, compliance verification, and regulatory software. At DNV, built internal tooling and trained colleagues on MRV and DCS verification procedures. Now applying that domain depth to building maritime software products.
Emissions Data Layer
Built to stop manually downloading and cleaning EMSA Excel files. 87,000 records, 2018 to 2024, clean endpoints, weekly auto-sync.
Experience
Shipping production features across SEACOTEC's maritime compliance suite: SEACOSCORE, SEACOPOOL, Voyage Calculator, SEACOLLECT, and SEACODOCK, across the full stack from NestJS microservices to Angular frontends.
Contributed to AI-focused workstreams including the Universal Medical Image Encoder (UMIE) project. Research-to-engineering delivery in production-like environments.
Delivered data quality, Azure pipelines, and SQL workflows supporting maritime compliance verification (MRV, DCS). Contributed to VISTA domain data governance and model-support tooling.
Verified MRV & DCS reports and plans against industry standards. Developed internal tooling for digital verification workflows and collaborated internationally within DNV.
Developed fleet-wide data extraction software converting onboard XML to DNV-accepted MRV/DCS format using VBA. A shore-based role in Hamburg between seafarer contracts.
Built data extraction software for navigational equipment mid-voyage, ensuring error-free conversion to the company's standardised format. Still in use across the fleet today.
